01 Getting started

What is Pynk?

Pynk is a school-life organiser for students and households. It turns a photo of your timetable into a daily plan — classes, tonight’s pack list, notes, and group projects — then lets you share what matters with family and friends on private boards. It is not a school portal, not a public social network, and not a messaging app.

How do I sign in?

Sign in with Apple, Google, or a passwordless email link. Pynk does not ask you to create a password. Pick a role — student or parent — which changes what parts of the app you see.

Who is Pynk for?

Students scan a timetable, see today’s classes, pack the night before, keep notes, and run group projects. Parents / family can link to a child, follow the school day, and share a household corkboard. Friends join a private circle to collaborate on boards and projects.

02 Timetable & scanning

How does timetable scan work?

Pick a photo of your printed or handwritten schedule from your photo library. Pynk reads the page on your phone (Apple’s on-device text recognition). The photo itself is not uploaded. Extracted text is sent to an AI service (Mistral) only to arrange it into subjects, days, times, and rooms. You review and can fix anything before it saves.

The scan got something wrong — what do I do?

Edit the proposed classes before saving, or fix them later in the timetable. You can add, reorder, or delete classes by hand. Odd-week, even-week, and every-week patterns are supported.

Where do I see today’s classes?

Home shows today’s agenda, what’s up next, and pack-for-tomorrow. Timetable has day and calendar views (week grid on iPad). You can mark a class completed for the day as you go.

03 Pack list

What is the pack list?

A nightly checklist for tomorrow’s bag — often suggested from tomorrow’s timetable, plus anything you add yourself. Tick items as packed. Linked parents can follow packing status according to the permission on the parent–child link.

04 Family, friends & parents

How do invites work?

Share a code or QR from Circle. After someone joins, you group them as Family (household sharing, view and nudge) or Friends (boards and projects). Invites expire in about a day if unused — treat live codes like a spare key.

How do parents link to a student?

The student generates a short link code. The parent enters it to connect. That creates a permission (view or edit) for what the parent can see — typically timetable and pack status. Only create a parent–child link for a child you’re authorised to act for.

Is anything public?

No. There are no public profiles, no discovery feed, and no strangers. Nothing you create is visible until you invite someone in.

05 Notes, projects & boards

What’s the difference between notes, projects, and boards?

Notes are personal — homework, tests, reminders. Projects are shared group work with tasks, materials, and comments. Boards are corkboards: one Family board for the household, and Friends boards for sticky notes and checklists with people you choose.

Can I report or block someone in the app?

Not yet — Pynk does not currently have in-app report, flag, or block tools. If something needs our attention, email support@edyantra.com and we’ll handle it directly.

06 Account & your data

How do I see or download my data?

Open Settings → View my data for a summary and an exportable file.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → delete account. That permanently removes your account and the content it owns (timetable, notes, pack items, consent records, link codes). There’s no undo. Shared comments left by teammates on a project may remain, since those belong to them.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. Pynk has no ad business and no in-app purchases today. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

07 Platforms & availability

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 16+. Android and web apps are not shipping yet. The App Store listing is coming soon.

Where do I find things in the app?

iPhone: Home · Timetable · Projects · Board · Circle (scan from Home; Settings via Circle).
iPad: Home · Timetable · Projects · Board · Notes · Circle · Settings.

08 What Pynk doesn’t do

So expectations stay clear, Pynk currently does not include:

  • School LMS features — grades, attendance, or teacher/admin portals
  • Public profiles, discovery, or an open social feed
  • Direct messaging or chat outside project comments
  • Push notifications, ads, or in-app purchases
  • Android or web apps

Pynk is a personal organiser, not an official school system and not an emergency notification service. Always keep an independent way of staying informed for anything time-sensitive.

09 Still need help?
